Henry Surtees Brooklands team challenge

Laura attended a wonderful event this week, the Henry Surtees Brooklands Team Challenge.

This was a charity kart event held at Mercedes-Benz World in aid of the Kent and Surrey Air Ambulance Trust and the Henry Surtees Foundation. The event was filmed by Sky F1 and will appear on the channel along side of the British Grand Prix this weekend. Continue reading →

The much anticipated Thruxton track proved to be a disaster for Laura this weekend

The meeting was held as a one day event with only 15 minutes practice on the morning before the race. Laura felt quite confident and after practice she went out to qualifying feeling positive and fairly upbeat. She was one of the last drivers to go out, and was winding up to putting in one of her last laps, when disaster struck. Continue reading →

Laura completed another round of the BARC Renault Championship

Laura would like to thank CRG for their valuable support during 2011. CRG was a warm and friendly team and she enjoyed being with them immensely. Although this is sad she has now decided that the time is right to try the move into cars.

Once again Laura was at the top of the time sheets, nearly always in the top 6. Qualifying went very well with a 4th best time. In Superpole she came in 6th.

Eighteen year old Laura Tillett is the daughter of renowned kart seat manufacturer Steve Tillett. Laura has been a constant fan of Motorsport from the first day she watched her father competing in the British Formula “A” Kart Racing Championships during the early 90’s.
The CIK Macau Grand Prix end of season race
